Catch us tomorrow at Delridge Day and the SW Precinct Picnic!

We always look forward to Delridge Day and the SW Precinct Picnic! Tomorrow, Saturday, August 8th, will be the 3rd year that these two wonderful annual events will be held in combination on the grounds of the Delridge Community Center from 11 AM – 3 PM.

Come enjoy wonderful music, free ice cream, food, action at the Delridge Skatepark, and other activities – especially activities for kids!

This is also a great opportunity to learn more about our local West Seattle community. Community groups and organizations (such as ours!), businesses and vendors will be there to provide information, hand out materials and answer questions.

The Seattle Police Department brings a safety focus to this event. Police Chief, Kathleen O’Toole is scheduled to be there again this year. Mark Solomon, the Crime Prevention Coordinator for the Southwest Precinct, will also be there. If you haven’t yet started a Block Watch, he can help you get set up! You can also learn more about new crime-fighting technologies, and (hopefully) see the K-9 officers and/or the police horses. Last year, they had a robot handing out free lollipops!

We hope to see you there – look for our booth!
