Upcoming summer events and activities!

We want to let you know about a few items on our summer calendar. Our annual “summer hiatus” takes place in July and August, but that doesn’t mean that our calendars are bare – only that we won’t have monthly meetings. We’ll still do outreach at community festivals, as well as get ready for and enjoy Night Out.  In chronological order:

SummerFest 2016, July 9th & 10th — Look for us in the Community Tent, where we’ll be sharing space on rotating shifts with other West Seattle community organizations. We’ll be there from 10 – 2 on Saturday and 11 – 2 on Sunday. You can stop by to learn more about our activities, as well as pick up informational materials and safety-related materials that you can give to your neighbors during Night Out. Do you have little kids? We have 9-1-1 coloring books and stickers for them! [Note that during the times that we aren’t in the Community Tent, you can find some of our materials at the West Seattle Timebank booth – located in the GreenLife area.]

Night Out, August 2nd — Just a reminder that this is one month from today!

Delridge Day / SW Precinct Picnic, August 13th — We’ll have an informational booth ) (including all of the cool stuff we mentioned above) at this fun, unique and informative festival. As well, officers from the SW Precinct will be on hand to answer questions, and demonstrate some of the cool new technology that is available to them. One year, they had a bomb-disarming robot handing out free ice cream to attendees!
