Thanks for BEE-ing there!

It  was great to see some of you at the 5th Annual West Seattle Bee Festival last month. Thanks for stopping by! This was the fifth year we’ve participated in this great event.

Hope you also enjoyed the opportunity to tour SPD’s Mobile Precinct unit, and talk with Officer Jon Flores from the SW Precinct’s Community Police Team – as well as with the many other organizations and businesses that were part of the Vendor Fair this year.

Outreach season “BEE-gins” this Saturday, May 20th!

Forgive us the bee puns…but we like to “bee” consistent.

If you’ve followed our blog or Facebook group for more than a year, you’ll know that we have an annual tradition of participation at the West Seattle Bee Festival. It takes place at High Point Commons Park and inside Neighborhood House, (6400 Sylvan Way SW, Seattle, WA 98126).

This will “bee” the 5th Annual West Seattle Bee Festival! Look for us at the Vendor Fair, between 11 AM and 2 PM, on the street that borders the west edge of the park, Lanham Place SW.

Make a “beeline” to our West Seattle Block Watch Captains’ Network booth to learn more about our org, pick up informational materials, ask questions or just say hi! We have some free gun safety locks available this year (while supplies last).

Community Police Team officers from the SW Precinct will be at the festival with the mobile precinct. Other great community organizations that provide resources to our community, such as West Seattle Be Prepared, will be there as well.

We want West Seattle to “bee-come” even more connected and networked than it already is. We can all help with that effort by meeting and learning from each other!

Outreach season is about to “BEE-gin” – on Saturday, May 21st

Forgive us the bee puns…but we like to “bee” consistent. We now have an annual tradition of calling your attention to our participation at the West Seattle Bee Festival! It’s our first outreach event of the year.

This year will “bee” the fourth year for West Seattle Bee Festival, which is held at High Point Commons Park (next to Neighborhood House, 6400 Sylvan Way SW, Seattle, WA 98126) on Saturday, May 21st. We’ll be participating in the Vendor and Information Fair. It runs from 11 AM until 2 PM on the street that borders the west edge of the park, Lanham Place SW.

We hope you’ll stop by “make a beeline” to our West Seattle Block Watch Captains’ Network booth at the West Seattle Bee Festival to learn more about our org, pick up informational materials, ask questions or just say hi! We’ll have FREE coloring books for kids (while supplies last)! Other great community organizations, as well as Officers from the SW Police Precinct, will also be there to answer questions!

The West Seattle Bee Festival is soon to be followed the festivals at Morgan Junction, and West Seattle SummerFest in the Junction, and Delridge Day. These are all great opportunities to stop by to pick up informational materials, ask questions, and network with us and others from our local community.

We “bee-leave” that a networked community makes us all safer and stronger!

Guess where we’ll “BEE” next Saturday, May 16th?

Forgive us for the puns…the answer to the question is that we plan to “buzz over” to the 3rd annual West Seattle Bee Festival at High Point Commons Park (6400 Sylvan Way SW, Seattle, WA 98126). We’ll be among the community groups participating in the Information Fair this coming Saturday, May 16th. The Information Fair runs from 11:30 AM until 2 PM.

The West Seattle Bee Festival starts at 9 AM with the Honey Run, and there are other fun and educational activities — for adults, as well as kids — that follow. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the West Seattle Bee Garden. Between noon and 2 PM, they offer free tours of the bee enclosure!
