Have you considered potential responses to an intruder in your home?

Join us Tuesday, May 23rd, for our monthly meeting! Our guest will be Officer Todd Wiebke.

As many of you know, Officer Wiebke is currently the SW Precinct’s point person who works with the homeless. He gave a great presentation in January about his role and responsibilities. It was an insightful meeting!

This month, we have invited him back for a tutorial and scenario-based discussion about how to prepare for the possibility of an intruder in your home.

As in preparing for an earthquake or other natural disaster, we hope it will never happen. Indeed, it may never happen. If does, at least initially, we will be on our own. If we have a plan, chances of having the best possible outcome in a bad situation will increase. At the very least, it may help to reduce fear and anxiety.

Officer Wiebke plans to talk about intruder scenarios with a focus on how to prepare for them and best determine plans of action.
