Reminder: Lisa Herbold will be our guest at tonight’s WSBWCN meeting!

Don’t miss our final meeting of the year tonight at 6:30 PM. We don’t usually post day-of reminders, but thought we’d make an exception since the agenda got a bit buried under announcements. You’ll find it here: WSBWCN October monthly meeting agenda.

Hope to see you there!

Many thanks to those of you who participated in our meeting this month. Special thanks to our guests, Seattle Councilmember, Lisa Herbold, and SW Precinct Commander, Pierre Davis.

You can find coverage of the meeting highlights here from the West Seattle Blog.

As we noted earlier, Lisa represents the neighborhoods of West Seattle and South Park on the Seattle City Council. She followed up her presentation at our meeting on Tuesday with this note and the attached Staffing Study Cover Letter and the linked documents.

Dear Deborah & Karen,

Thank you for the warm reception on Tuesday.  I promised some follow up.  Please see the Berkshire Staffing Report as well as presentation materials for the Council’s committee discussion attached here.

In addition, one of your members said that the Seattle Municipal Court did not offer adjudication by mail.  I wanted to provide background on that program in the hopes you could share it with your members.  Please see here for more:  http://www.seattle.gov/courts/comjust/admail.htm

Thank you for your advocacy on behalf of better public safety in our communities!

Best,

Lisa Herbold
