Join us on Tuesday, June 27th to learn about the Community Service Officer (CSO) program, and give your feedback!
In the 2017-18 budget, City Council set aside funding to re-implement the Community Service Officer program in 2018. Our guest speaker will be Angela Socci from the Finance and Planning Section of the Seattle Police Department. She’ll talk about the plans for reinventing the CSO program. They are in the early stages of the program development process, so we have an opportunity to offer feedback. How would you like to see the new program take shape?
As well, we’ll have updates from Captain Pierre Davis about crimes and issues they are currently seeing in the SW Precinct.
Jennifer Burbridge, our new Crime Prevention Coordinator, will also be there. Update, 6/27: Jennifer is unable to be there this evening.
Need materials for Night Out? This is our final meeting before our notorious Summer Hiatus — as we do not meet in July or August — so don’t forget to pick up any informational materials that you’d like to give your neighbors at Night Out events. Usually, you can catch us to pick up materials at the local summer festivals. Unfortunately, we are currently “waitlisted” for space in the Community Tent at West Seattle SummerFest in July. Night Out is on Tuesday, August 1st this year and Delridge Day takes place later in the month.
