Follow-up from our March meeting with Lisa Herbold

Many thanks to those of you who participated in our meeting this month. Special thanks to our guests, Seattle Councilmember, Lisa Herbold, and SW Precinct Commander, Pierre Davis.

You can find coverage of the meeting highlights here from the West Seattle Blog.

As we noted earlier, Lisa represents the neighborhoods of West Seattle and South Park on the Seattle City Council. She followed up her presentation at our meeting on Tuesday with this note and the attached Staffing Study Cover Letter and the linked documents.

Dear Deborah & Karen,

Thank you for the warm reception on Tuesday.  I promised some follow up.  Please see the Berkshire Staffing Report as well as presentation materials for the Council’s committee discussion attached here.

In addition, one of your members said that the Seattle Municipal Court did not offer adjudication by mail.  I wanted to provide background on that program in the hopes you could share it with your members.  Please see here for more:

Thank you for your advocacy on behalf of better public safety in our communities!

Lisa Herbold

District 1 Councilmember, Chair Civil Rights, Utilities, Economic Development, and Arts Committee

FYI, our next meeting of the West Seattle Block Watch Captains’ Network will be on April 26th, 6:30 to 8 PM. We’ll post the agenda and more details later.

Updated, 4/7/16: Many thanks to Richard Kromm for taking and sending us photos from the meeting!
