If you attended our September meeting, you may recall that Jennifer Burbridge, (the Seattle University Graduate Research Assistant who is working with the SW Precinct), mentioned this survey during her presentation about the Micro-Community Policing Plans. We received the attached flyer and follow-up details from her this week.
Seattle University is administering the citywide Seattle Public Safety Survey. The purpose of the survey is to solicit feedback on public safety and security concerns from those who live and/or work in Seattle. A report on the survey results will be provided to the Seattle Police Department to assist them with making your neighborhood safer and more secure.
The survey is accessible at publicsafetysurvey.org from October 15th through November 30th and is available in Amharic, Chinese, English, Korean, Somali, Spanish and Vietnamese.
Please circulate this information to your friends, family, co-workers and community members and feel free to post the information on your social media. Public safety and security are community concerns. Please make sure your voice is heard by completing the public safety survey today.
Jennifer added that you can get in touch with her, “If you would like to work with a Seattle University researcher to setup outreach and assist in the facilitation of the survey to your communities or organizations, or you would like more information about the survey, please do not hesitate to contact me.” You can reach her through the SW Police Precinct.
We hope you will take a few minutes to complete the survey yourselves, as well as pass it along to those in your Block Watch groups! We want West Seattle opinions and safety concerns to be heard, and of course, addressed!
