We’ve had a great response so far, but there is still room and time time to RSVP if you haven’t yet done so. It’s today, 6 to 9 PM, at Salty’s on Alki. Come to meet and make some connections with other block captains – especially those who live near you!
You can also pick up informational materials that you can distribute to your neighbors during Night Out events on August 6th. We’ll have a big supply of the materials you see at our meetings or outreach events – various emergency preparedness materials (such as HELP/OK signs, Out-of-Area contact cards, brochures about building disaster kits and Pet Preparedness, and maps showing the West Seattle emergency communication hubs). We have more of our popular No Soliciting signs, and SPD’s personal safety, vehicle safety and suspicious behavior brochures. We also have some new brochures about “Smart 9-1-1” that we picked up this week and new 9-1-1 coloring books, bags and stickers for kids.
We hope you can make it! RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org or (206) 424-0040. If you can’t join us for the party, we hope to see you when our regular meetings resume on September 24th (4th Tuesdays).
