Curious about our April 26th WSBWCN meeting agenda?

Want to easily find the crime statistics for a neighborhood or where the 9-1-1 calls have been and map them out?  Do you know how to customize the information for your neighborhood group?  What online tools does the city provide for crime prevention and community building? A lot it turns out!

Our guest speakers will be Neil Berry from the City of Seattle Dept. of Information Technology (DoIT) Web team; Amy Hirotaka, from the City of Seattle DoIT Community Technology Program; and Sol Villarreal, the Community Engagement Coordinator from the office of the Mayor.

They will give an information-packed presentation with a demonstration of “My Neighborhood Maps” and talk about other online services and projects such as the Seattle Communities Online project, which helps neighborhood groups use online tools for community building.

We encourage you to arrive anytime after 6 PM for light snacks and to network and socialize with other Blockwatch Captains and attendees!  You are also welcome to continue discussion after the meeting ends. Our meetings are open to the public; you do not need to be a Blockwatch Captain to participate.
