Great info-packed meeting tonight!

Thanks to those of you who attended & participated in our meeting this month!

If you missed out, here are links to much-appreciated coverage of this month’s meeting by the West Seattle Blog & the West Seattle Herald.

In the coming days, we’ll post additional details regarding some of the upcoming events that we mentioned.

Update, April 3rd, (2:30 PM):  Upcoming events that were announced include a special session of emergency preparedness training on April 18th that our group is co-sponsoring with West Seattle Be Prepared. Debbie Goetz from the Office of Emergency Management – a West Seattleite – will be the trainer. It will be held from 6 to 7:30 PM at the SW Police Precinct where our monthly WSBWCN meetings are held (2300 SW Webster St., next to the Home Depot store).

Other group’s events, to which we’ve been invited, include Seattle Neighborhood Group’s Landlord Training Workshop on April 5th; the one-day police academy on April 9th; and the racial profiling class on April 16th.

We also mentioned another West Seattle Be Prepared-sponsored event, the first in a new emergency preparedness Education & Training series, featuring training & presentations by King County Red Cross on April 7th.

Note that these events are also posted to our West Seattle Blockwatch Captains’ Network Facebook page. Don’t forget that we have other useful info posted there as well!
