We’ve received word of changes at the SW Police Precinct. Most significantly, our Community Police Team (CPT) officers are being redeployed – for the summer, perhaps longer — to bolster patrol officer levels in the neighborhoods. As well, the SW Police Precinct will cut back on the front desk staffing so the precinct won’t be open as much as it has been.

The CPT officers provide a lot of value to our group (for example, the CPTED training!), so we’re hoping that this change is temporary…
